Maliyah SIDDYS Lakey, 2020

Maliyah is the younger sister of one of my closest friends. She was taken by gun violence on August 1st, 2020 at only 18 years old. Maliyah was a light to everyone in her life, and I was immeasurably lucky to know her. All print sales of this painting:

Long Live Maliyah!

CARLOS ADAN MARTINEZ, 2021

This is Carlos Adan Martinez who recently passed due to covid-related illness. Carlos’ son wanted a portrait of his father for the re-opening of his family store. I was deeply moved by the family and their description of Carlos. He seemed to me to be an incredible father, person, and entrepreneur. Here, Carlos is painted with his favorite color, sky blue, and is subtly decorated by the national bird and flower of his homeland, El Salvador. Rest In Peace to Carlos, thank you to the family, and please everyone visit Colchas Primor y mas in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

I am continuing to work with the Martinez family and two newer portraits may be found below.
